Programs
Learn to Curl
Perfect for beginners—designed to provide you with the basic skills of curling, including draw weight, hitting, sweeping, take out and more. Four-week program starts anytime you want to! All ages welcome.
September-December Saturday 9:30-10:30 pm

Curling drop-in, Monday & Tuesday 12:00 noon $5
Curling League
Four players will each curl two stones in hopes of winning curling glory. You’ll throw both directions. Teammates who are not throwing may sweep his/her partner’s stone. Registration forms must be completed prior to joining the league.
Registrations will begin in December.
Learn to Play Hockey
A co-ed youth program for beginner-level players. You’ll focus on the basic skills of hockey—lessons teach fundamental skills of skating, stick handling, passing and shooting, moving on to 1-on-1 and 2-on-1, scrimmages, and much more depending your skill level. Includes hockey equipment (with a deposit). Ages 4 – 15.
2 sessions: October 6 -December 18, January 7-March 12
Wednesday and Fridays 5:30-6:00 p.m or 6:00-6:30 p.m.

Adult Development Hockey
A co-ed adult program for beginner-level players or those who want to fine tune their skills. Learn the fundamental skills of skating, stick handling, passing and shooting, moving on to one-on-one and two-on-one, scrimmages, and more. 45-minute classes include hockey equipment (with a deposit). Ages 15+.

Youth Hockey League
A non-checking, non-competitive recreational league where basic skills are recommended. Players required to provide and wear full hockey equipment. Jerseys provided. Equipment provided with a deposit. Ages 12 and under.
Registrations to be held in the Spring.
Learn to Skate Programming
Learn to Skate is for any age—beginners as well as those needing to brush up on their fancy
footwork. Sessions include 5 lessons. Rental skates included. Participants required to sign waivers
before first lesson. Tots and beginners need to keep the noggin safe and wear a helmet.
No class 12/21/2020 – 1/5/2021.
Ice Show Session: Skaters who have completed at least 2 sessions during the season are invited to be a part of the show. Skaters will exhibit what they learned in the sessions in a themed show designed by the head skate instructor.
Snowplow Sam
Preschool-age skaters will learn: how to fall and not get hurt, get up safely, marching, 2-foot glide, forward skating, dips, hops, beginning backwards skating, two-foot turns, rocking horses, and beginning stopping.

Basics: Level 1-2
Skaters 6 years old and older who have never skated or are just beginning. They will learn how to sit and stand on the ice, forward skating, dips, forward and backward swizzles, snowplow stop, scooter pushes, two-foot glides forward and backward, hops and two-foot turns.

Basics: Level 3-4
Skaters who have passed Basic 1 & 2 will advance to Basic 3 & 4. They will learn forward stroking, half swizzle pumps (forward and backward), backward one-foot glides, backward snowplow, forward slalom, outside and inside edges, forward crossovers, pivots, beginning two-foot spins and lunges.

Basics: Level 5-6
Skaters advancing to Basic 5 & 6 will learn backward inside and outside edges, backward crossovers, forward inside and outside three-turns, advanced two-foot spins, hockey stops, side toe hop, backward stroking, beginning one-foot spin, T-stops, bunny hop, forward spiral and shoot the duck.

Pre-Free Skate
Skaters continuing onto Pre-Free Skate will learn fine tune their skating skills. They will learn the forward mohawk, landing position, backward edge transitions, mohawk sequence, advanced one-foot spin, Mazurka and waltz jumps.

Free Skate
Once skaters have mastered the basic skills of figure skating, this freestyle class takes it a step further by teaching the mechanics of spinning and jumping, along with advanced footwork at various levels. A good preparation for competitions.

Special Events
6th Annual Chicken Curling
Teams of 4 will compete in a double-elimination format for curling glory using frozen, expired chickens. Expect music, beverages, & more. Spectators encouraged!

Skate with Santa
Meet the big man himself, take pictures, then skate until there’s an extra holly in your jolly! We’ll take care of the tunes, getting Santa back on his sleigh, and candy canes! Hot cocoa available for purchase.
